It was a fun evening!
I had just enough time to grab a couple of pieces of toast for supper between getting home from the gym and heading out to a SJTC Second Stage event. It was called "15 Minutes of Fame" and it was a chance to pair up with someone and take 10 minutes to review a short script before performing it in front of the group. What a blast. About 30 people showed up, and most of them performed. Anthony and I got to act together for the first time. Our script seemd pretty lame at first - it was a cliché about a couple at a fast-food restaurant, and it started off with the woman asking her boyfriend if he thinks she's fat. We decided to have a bit of fun with it and switch the characters, so it was Anthony's character who was asking if his girlfriend thought he was fat. We got some good laughs. Most of the scripts were very funny. There were a few serious ones in the mix as well. After it was done, a few of us headed over to Melvins for a couple of drinks. Then Scott popped by to help fix the CD burner he sold to me. All-in-all it was a great evening!
Tonight I'm looking forward to the first night of the Second Stage acting workshop. :-)
