Matchbox 20 rocked

The show was great Friday night. The band was entertaining - and they actually sounded very good - AND not too loud! The light show was excellent, and the stage setup looked very modern. I'm glad I went (thanks, Renny)!

Saturday morning I took my dad shopping for his birthday gift., I got him a set of fireplace tools that look like brushed pewter. My folks gave me my birthday gifts early - hand knit socks by mom, new black cloth napkins, a cool set of cordial glasses from The Bombay Company, and a duvet. I spent the early afternoon shopping with my mom for a duvet cover. I finally found oue at the Bay - it looked like light blue suede. I also got the pillow shams to go with it, even though they were $40 apiece. We then drove to the airport and picked up my cousin Jennifer and her husband Bill. We had a lovely supper, and I had planned to go to a Rock Review with Renny later inthe evening, but I got really sick. I am positive it was from drinking wine. I didn't even have much, but boy was I sick. So, instead of going out, I went to bed. But I was up sick many times through the night. I felt fine by morning - except I was tired, and my back was sore. After an early breakfast, I headed out to visit Sue and Jed. It was great to see them - I can't wait to spend more time with them next time I visit!

I made it back to Saint John in time for the meeting at the Imperial Theatre for Guys and Dolls (which I'm doing makeup on) We set things up and I was home by 9 PM. Exhausted, aching back and hungry. I tried to look at my site, but I can't seem to access it. Yarr. So I shut the computer off and decided to put the new cover on my new duvet and see how it all looked. Terrible. it looked terrible. What was supposed to look like suede looked like cheap polyester. and the expensive pillow shams were saggy. so I packed everything back up and I'm going to return it all. Crappy. I do love my new duvet - I just need to find a decent cover for it. Some day I will.

Well, I still can't see my site from any of my own computers and I'm not sure what's wrong with it. I don't really have time to fuss with it though. Also, my back is still really sore. I'm taking Robaxacet for it, but it's making me really drowsy, so I'm finding it hard to function. Yarr....
