Oh, the weather outside is frightful...
That's right, it's pouring and it is quite dark out. I didn't feel up to braving the elements to walk home for lunch. I figured it'd be much easier to run over to the market and get a nice warm bowl of wonton soup from Slocum and Ferris. So I hopped on the elevator to head down to the second level of the mall and take the passage through to the market. The elevator stopped momentaily on the third level, and as the doors opened they revealed a horrific sight to my eyes: a Chritsmas display. I wasn't prepared for it. It's not even Halloween yet for crying out loud. Can we at least wait until November before we start with that stuff? At least? Sigh. On a good note, there was a very nice Jazz band playing at the market over the lunch hour; The Peters Drury Trio will be at the Imperial theatre tomorrow night. Even though I didn't have time to stick around, it was still a nice little treat for the ears.
