Mental note: don't drink coffee after 8 PM
That's right. It's WAY past my bedtime and I'm still awake. Yarr!
So the acting workshop is on Wednesday evenings. This week we took our scenes and went through them again with our partners, script still firmly in hand (for most of us). Most of us made a bit of time between classes to get together with our partners and work on the scenes. It was great to see the improvements in all of the scenes. I know Martine felt like we may have gotten off on the wrong foot at the start of ours, but I think we did OK. I felt a bit hindered by having the script in my hand, but that's only natural, I suppose. So that's it for out Top Girls scene for this class, although we may take it further on our own - which would be fun! Everyone was assigned new scripts for the rest of the workshop classes, and Martine and I get to work together again (yay)!
So, as usual, there was no heat in the loft. I think it was colder in there than it was outside. A few of us decided to head down to Mexi's to grab a warm beverage - and that's where I made the mistake of ordering a coffee and not think of asking for decaf, even though I DID think of asking for some Kahlua to add to it. Yarr.
