Weekend Update
Friday: I finished my cape, had supper, tidied up, Lisa came over and I helped her with her costume and did her hair and makeup - she was Athena, I was Wonder Woman. Anthony dressed up as Jason, and Scott, who was dressed as the cook from Wet Hot American Summer came to pick us up and give us a lift to the Somerset Pub. We got there around 11. There was a costume contest, and the person dressed as a giant tampon won. After the pub, a few of us headed back to my place for a bit, and I finally made it to bed by about 5:30 in the morning.
Saturday: I dragged myself out of bed and went to see The Hobbit by Theatre New Brunswick. It was more for kids, but a good show nonetheless. I thought the set design was very thoughtfully done. Then I had a nice long nap, and set my alarm to wake myself up in time to get ready to go to another costume party. It was pretty much the last thing I wanted to do - get all dressed up again. But I did. The houseparty was at Goodfellows. It was nice to see Melanie and John all dressed up in their Genie and Aladdin costumes. There was a captain Jack Sparrow there - poor fellow was so drunk. Good costume though. Also, a viking gal, a rubix cube, cruella and 2 dalmations, etc. etc. I left early - before midnight, as I wasn't really in the mood to be out socializing.
Sunday: Martine came over for the afternoon. We spent most of our time chatting and a bit of time working on our scene. It's nice working with her. Once again I find myself looking forward to the workshop on Wednesday. I had a quick bite to eat for supper, then spent my evening playing SSX 3. Major time-suckage. So addictive. :-)
Busy at work this week - LOTS to do....
