Monday, January 12, 2004 The weekend flew by I drove to Halifax Friday evening. Did a bit of laundry and then hit the hay. Saturday I did a bit of shopping and then went to a matinee with Sue. We saw Mona Lisa Smile. It was OK. Nothing spectacular. After the movie, Sue came out shoppping with me. I was hunting to a particular birthday gift for Colin, but couldn't find it anywhere. But at the end of the day, I found something else that I eneded up picking up for him. After shopping I had dinner with the folks and then got ready for a night out. Renny and Harry picked me up at about 9:30, and we headed to the annual Tour Tech East party. It was good this year. There were (I think) 12 bands in 2 sound stages, and a few thousand people. Kim Mitchell was the big name this year. And Crush were better than ever. They're sounding very good now. I enjoyed myself. I ran into quite a few folks who I only get to see at this party once a year, and there were a few folks that I haven't seen in a few years. I got home around 3 AM. Way past my bedtime. I drove back to Saint John on Sunday afternoon. After that, I grabbed a nap for a bit, and then headed out to a production meeting for the One Act Plays, Then at 7, we had rehearsal for Doomsday Clock. That's going well. I love seeing progress, and even now, as we go through the play, we're able to tighten things up a bit more each time. After rehearsal, I hung out with Colin. We watched a Michael Jackson special that he'd taped, and we'd planned to watch an A&E special, Behind the Scenes of LOTR: Return of the King, but it was on at 11, and I couldn't stay awake. I woke up this morning with a full-fledged cold. I'm currently drinking freshly-squeezed orange juice from the Market. I think I may go home and nap at lunch. Posted by Dre at 9:15 AM |
