Monday, February 09, 2004 A Weekend of Theatre Wow! What a busy weekend! Friday night was the Opening Night for the one-act plays. We sold out to a good crowd. I was a bit nervous, but not too bad overall. It was a good thing that I did my own sound and lighting - to keep me occupied so I wouldn't get too stressed. The evening went well. It was nice to see that Sandra and Stephen were both able to make it - and bring William - who's cute as a button. After the show a group of us went out for a drink - we wound up at Churchills. I had a very tasty salad - wiish I could remember which one it was.... the Mediterranean, I think.... Saturday, I cleaned my messy apartment, went over my lines, and picked up and put together the gifts for my cast members. Then it was off to the NB Museum for our second and final night of performances. Despite the snow/sleet/rain/snow, we still had about a hundred people come out to see the plays, and I found that the audience was pretty receptive. I'm very happy with my cast. Their hard work paid off in the end, and I'm proud of the great job they all did! The cast party was pretty good - it was a bit mellow, and I wasn't really drinking, but most folks seemed to have a good buzz on by the time I left. I spent most of the day Sunday working on my lines for the callback for Stella. I hope I do a good job tonight. I wish I didn't get so stressed out about it, and I wish I had more time last week to work on the scenes. Oh well, all I can do is go in and try to do my best and hope that my nerves don't get to me.
