Tuesday, March 09, 2004 Quelle Surprise! I had another busy evening. I went to the gym after work, and found many frustrations - from people not booking the cardio equipment properly, to people not using the circuit area properly, to people not cleaning off the machines after they've used them - even though there are paper towel dispensers every 10 feet and disinfectant spray at each machine. Yarr! After the gym, I rushed hom and dropped my stuff off and made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and headed over to Scott and Karen's for the play readings. I wish I'd had time for a proper meal. I was craving healthy food, such as some nice grilled chicken and steamed veggies with rice or a sweet potato. We read Scott's play first. It was called "Photoshop Time" and was about graphic designers and somewhat typical situations regarding their work lives. Then we read John's play which turned out to be a more serious reading than he'd imagined. I still thought it was good - it just depends what he's looking for in a play. After that, we read Anthony's play about dealing with the ashes of a man who'd lived a different life in his younger years and had wanted his remains scattered at Miscou. I hope Anthony keeps writing plays - I thought he did a good job. Once the readings were done with, Scott was kind enough to make some apple crisp for those of us who stuck around. It was delicious :) On my way home, I popped in to visit Colin for a bit. I was pretty tired. I wanted to stay up and read for a bit when I got home, but I just didn't have the energy. I also felt pretty gross - probably from having too many sweets. Oh well - I don't eat like that all the time. Posted by Dre at 9:21 AM |
