Beautiful Nature & Relaxation
I took last Friday off and went hiking in Fundy National Park with my friend Tom. We decided to hike a series of coastal trails from Cannontown Beach to Wolfe Point. Talk about amazingly beautiful scenery! It was a good hike - about 10.1 km up and down what seemed like small mountains along the coast, with beautiful vistas at every turn. When we got to Wolfe Point, we stopped to have lunch and then decided to take the road back to the car. That was a 6.8 km hike - not as strenuous, but it still had a couple of good hills. All-in-all, we hiked for around 4.5 or 5 hours. (And yes, we made a big point of stretching when we were done!)
The remainder of my weekend was fairly relaxing - I cleaned my apartment and ran a few errands on Saturday. That evening, I went to a house party at Lisa & Anthony's. Then Sunday was a quiet day at home relaxing. I have a pretty busy work week so the days are already flying by. Last night after work I had an awesome session with my trainer - he put me through an upper body workout - with lower weights and higher reps than I'm used to. I can certainly feel where I've worked out today - but it's a good thing. Tonight is a focus on more of a lower bosy workout. Yee-ha!
