TGIF

It has been a long week - made a little bit longer by not feeling well. I hope to banish this cold this weekend if I can.

I've booked a vacation to the Dominican with my friend Joanna. I know we could both use a real break. We got a good deal for the resort we will be staying at. It's one of those ones that has a number of different restaurants and a ton of things to do. The brochure says no tipping, but from the reviews I've been reading online, tipping gives you great service. Some folks prefer to tip with items instead of money. My question to you is have you been south and have you tipped, and if so, how much/what did you tip?
