Friday, June 24, 2005 Friday Feast Appetizer: What time do you usually wake up each day? If you could choose your wake-up time, when would it be? I normally wake up at 8:00 AM - even on weekends. Sometimes if I'm tired I'll sleep in until 8:30. I'd love to wake up at 6 AM. I could get so much more done. Of course, since I need a solid 8 hours of sleep, that would mean that I'd have to go to bed at 10 PM and I don't see that happening! Soup: When was the last time you bought groceries? What store did you go to? Name 3 things you purchased. I shop at the Atlantic Superstore on Rothesay Avenue. I was there last Saturday and picked up a small chicken, some goat's milk cheddar-style cheese and some broccoli, among other things. Salad: How many books have you read so far this year? Which was your favorite and why? Alas I have not been able to make much time for reading since the new year. We are half way through 2005 and I've only read 3 books. My favourite of the 3 was "The Da Vinci Code." Main Course: What is something you consider to be very elegant? In particular, what about that item/place/person conjures up the feeling of elegance? There are lots of elegant things. Most of the things that I think are elegant have very clean lines to them, such as a certain wine glass or piece of jewelry. I think a pair of plain black stilleto's is elegant, as is a black umbrella with a wooden handle. I think gracefulness is elegant - in all of the animal kingdom. Dessert: Who taught you how to drive? I took the drivers education course that was offered through my high school and the province of Manitoba. It included defensive driving, which has come in handy a number of times.
