Spring is in the air!

In recent weeks, I've been taking advantage of the rain and gloom to get a lot of stuff done indoors. I've been trying not to let the weather get to me - and really, I think I was only really bothered by the fact that I haven't had much opportunity yet to wear open-toed shoes/sandals and summer clothes.

Last night I got a chance to catch up with my friend Renny who was in town to do some high steel rigging for the Sarah MacLachlan concert. We did a bit of walking around uptown and stopped in at a number of restaurants only to find them absolutely jam-packed. I guess a lot of folks heading to the concert would make a night out of it. In the end, we drove out to Mike's at the mall and ate there. Walking around uptown as a real treat last night - I didn't even need my coat, and there were a couple of spots of freshly mown grass that smelled amazing. Alas, we are at least getting a taste of what sunny Spring weather should be like and it certainly is wonderful!
