Dragonboating

Yesterday afternoon Joanne stopped by my desk and asked if I could fill in and help out with dragon boating on Saturday. There was a practice right after work. It was a lot of fun and I'm really looking forward to Saturday. The Saint John Dragon Boat Festival will be held at Renforth Wharf on Saturday starting from 8:00 AM and going all day. It's a great event to watch in case you're interested in coming out and cheering us on. I'm on the Aliant High Speeders team and Beth will be paddling on the Aliant Power Paddlers team.

Even though it's last-minute, I still need to raise a bit of sponser money between now and then so if you're interested in sponsering me, please let me know. This year, the funds raised at the festival will be for the replacement of an aging mammography unit for the new Women's Health Center located on the 9 th floor of St. Joseph 's Hospital.
