Weekend Update

Friday night I was pretty beat. I'd had an extremely hectic week at work and didn't really have the energy to do much. I thought about going out and getting some Christmas shopping done but I just didn' t have it in me. Besides, it was freezing rain. Ann stopped over right after work so I could do her hair and makeup for her for her work Christmas party. After that, I did a bit of cleaning and made supper, ate, and cleaned up. I spent about an hour working on a painting, and that's about it for my evening. I needed an early night.

Saturday was very full. I was up early and spent the entire day running errands and getting all of my Christmas shopping done. The mall was packed, of course. That kept me busy until supper time - where I went to Swiss Chalet with Colin. By the time I got home from supper I had a few minutes to play with the cats before heading out to Swayze Christmas #10. It was at Callahan's this year. I think I still prefer a house party. Especially since I'm not usually a fan of beer - and when I do drink it, I'm pretty picky about it. If you're not a beer drinker, there really isn't much other choice there other than coolers or bar shots. So I had about a drink and a half all evening. At any rate, it was a great opportunity to catch up with some friends - including a few that I haven't seen much at all this year. I was pretty beat so I didn't stay out to keep "partying" after the movie.

Sunday I tried to sleep in (as much as the cats would let me) and then met Colin for breakfast at Reggie's. Then I spent the rest of the day trying to get things done for Christmas. All the while, I had the TV tuned to TLC for their entertaining marathon of What Not To Wear. And that's about it. I STILL haven't done any cards yet this year and I still need to finish making a couple of things that I'd promised to people. I know my next few evenings will be full with that stuff. Man - I'm looking forward to having some time off!!
