Happy New Year!

I hope you all had wonderful holidays. Mine were nice & quiet. I spent Christmas in Halifax visiting my folks and I brought the kittens along. Thankfully they won my parents over within the first few moments. They were really well behaved and travelled quite well. While I was there I went to see The Chronicles of Narnia and King Kong which were both very entertaining!If you have the time,it's really worth checking out the behind-the-scenes production diaries at Kong is King.net.

I came back to Saint John on the 28th and went to see Memoirs of a Geisha that night. I know the reviews for it haven't been great butI really enjoyed it! As soon as I got up the next morning I witnessed Grace launch herself from the back of the lazy-boy onto the side of the top of the Christmas tree. So I decided it was a good time to take down the Christmas decorations. No sense keeping things up. Besides, I like having a nice clean house to start the new year with.

The rest of my vacation was pretty quiet. I did a bit of gaming and hung out with the kittens. I felt like hibernating and I enjoyed a bit of time alone. I need that every now and then. Oh - I did go out a few times - the Domokos' pre-NYE party, Beth's b-day celebration, and New Years Eve itself, but all were pretty mellow affairs thankfully.

I'm glad it's a new year. Last year was not bad. I started running, started painting murals and got pets for the first time. A few nice changes. I'm a bit stressed about this year5 just because of the sheer number of things that I have on my plate, but I'm sure it'll all work out just fine. Now, back to the grind....
