Monday, February 06, 2006 A Weekend of Theatre and Reading My one foray for the weekend was going out to Happinez with Joanna and Lynn S. after work on Friday. It had been a long week and I enjoyed the company and a chance to unwind with friends. The rest of my weekend was quiet in comparison. I didn't do much else on Friday night after I got home - I think I napped, read for a bit and played with the cats. Saturday morning I headed over to Stephen & Sandra's. Stephen and I went through the script of the Crucible and picked out the audition pieces. Auditions will be Wednesday, Feb. 15th, and Thursday, Feb. 16th, at 7PM and Saturday, Feb. 18th at 1PM. After that, I combed through his library of plays and borrowed about a dozen to read. When I got home, I'd intended to go for a run but I wound up taking a 2-hour nap instead. I guess I needed it. I had planned to go out that evening but cancelled my plans and opted for a quiet night in. I finished reading the Fionavar Tapestry Set by Guy Gavriel Kay. Then I read The Real Inspector Hound by Tom Stoppard, which was quite funny. Sunday morning I headed to the gym and then Reggies for brunch with Colin. I had a good wworkout and I'm glad I went. I like it on weekends when it's nice and quiet. After that, I got home and re-read Sight Unseen and took notes about costumes. Then I read Betrayal by Harold Pinter and then did a bit of tidying and then got a few things together for rehearsal for Coelacanth. I can't believe it's this week. Where does the time go? It feels as though we just started reharsals. Posted by Dre at 8:03 AM |
