Mom's Visit
My mother took the bus from Halifax to SJ to visit me for the weekend. We started off with meeting Colin and Joanna for a drink at Churchills on Friday evening. Then we headed out for a bit - and rented Capote. But we were both pretty wiped from full weeks, so we called it a night at 9 PM!!
Saturday was a full day of shopping, we got back to my apartment in time to relax for an hour before heading out to supper at Billy's. We had intended to see a production by NB Theatre at the Imperial but mom was starting to get one of her headaches and I was feeling pretty wiped at any rate. I'm not used to the power-shopping like that! So we headed home after supper and climbed into out PJs and watched Capote. Very good film. Very interesting.
Sunday we decided to do breakfast at Reggie's and ran into Colin there. Then we spent the afternoon doing a bit more shopping and running some errands (groceries included). We ate in and watched Pride & Prejudice and Pollock. It was a good chance for mom to see some movies that may be a little "artsy" or slow for dad's tastes.
Throughout the entire weekend, Hunter and Grace were a constant source of entertainment and amusement. I'm sure mom will have a ton of little kitten tales to regal dad with as soon as she gets back to Halifax.
And that was about it. for me, it was a bit of the calm before the storm of this work week.
