Weekend Update
It was a pretty good weekend. My friend Renny from Halifax is in town to do lighting and rigging for the Canadian Country Music Awards and he needed a place to crash for the weekend. It was great to see him and catch up. We hadn't seen each other since Christmas. We stopped out at The Blue Olive on Friday night to catch Kizzy singing, but we didn't stay too long as I was feeling really tired.
Saturday was a day of errands. I ran a few with Ann and then dropped her off so she could do laundry and picked Renny up. One thing that I did find that I hadn't planned on getting was a great deal on Band of Brothers. I've wanted that series for a couple of years and between the sale price and the FutureShop gift certificate I had, I couldn't resist picking it up. Renny had never seen it, so he spent most of Saturday afternoon to Sunday evening watching the entire series.
I had planned to go to Elizabeth's Shakespeare BBQ where she was announcing the show she plans to do next year, but I was really starting to feel run down as the day went on, so I decided to stay home instead. By the time 7:30 rolled around, I remembered that I should have been at Melanie's bachelorette party but I couldn't bring myself to go. I hope they had a great time with their pole dancing lessons, male entertainment and dancing at a club afterwards.
Sunday was another quiet day for the most part. We had a reading of Noises Off and it seemed to flow a lot better than the first time we'd read it. I'm really looking forward to getting started with rehearsals and getting off our feet for this one!
