Weekend Update
Friday was a busy day at work that ended a busy week. I was pretty happy for the weekend as I had a lot of fun stuff to look forward to, starting with the Barenaked Ladies concert on Friday night. Man, they were great. Just as fun and personable as ever. They really are a show worth seeing! I also popped in to the Blue Olive for a bit after, since Opa was performing. I always enjoy the atmosphere there.
Saturday was a day for errands. I'd intended to go to the matinee of Fiddler on the Roof (at St. Mac's) but found that I was still out and still needed to get groceries as it was nearing 2 PM. Also, I really wanted to get to the gym. I wound up, however, eating something that didn't agree with me, so I pretty much just slept it off until heading out at 7:30 to see Script Happens. It was a vibrant set of shows, and it was nice to see everyone having a lot of fun with it!
Sunday was a wee bit slower than I'd anticipated. I started out by heading out to cheer Colin and Beth and Anthony on as they ran the Hypothermic (1/2 marathon from Mispec into town). They had great weather for it and they all did great! From there, I headed out to pick up a couple of things that I'd forgotten to get on Saturday. By the time I got home, I was starting to feel pretty wiped. I'd intended to spend the day working on set design for Cabaret, but wound up spending most of the day in bed with a fever. I half watched some of the Oscars but I didn't last too long.
