Monday, March 05, 2007 Weekend of Quiet Recovery I made it in to work for 4 hours on Friday before I felt too sick and had to leave. I then spent the afternoon sleeping. That evening, most of Saturday, and Sunday morning, I worked on the set design while watching season 1 of Lost. I'd never even seen an episode before. I started off thinking that the series seemed good but pretty hokey. But as the season went along, I enjoyed how it was put together. Thank goodness I was finally feeling better, so I was able to get a few things done. (I was sick enough last week that I didn't even watch TV.) Sunday was one of those days where I just felt a little off. We had a D&D game that afternoon, which, thankfully, went well. And there was a production meeting for Cabaret which was good. I think we got a few balls rolling on that side of things. It's exciting to see! I brought along most of my partially finished set design. Once I have it done, I'll take a photo of it and post it. And Mare, since I know you love set design, I'll keep you posted and you can come by and check it out. :-) Unfortunately on Sunday evening I missed our book club meeting. We just finished reading Bloodletting and Miraculous Cures by Vincent Lam, and I'd enjoyed it and was looking forward to the meeting. But in my fever-induced haze, when I cancelled our Cabaret Production meeting last Wednesday and rescheduled it for Sunday evening, I had in my head that book club was the following week. I hope I can make it to the next one, and I hope that all who went had a great time. Posted by Dre at 8:05 AM |
