The new kitchen window
My landlord has been replacing the very old windows at the back of the building and my kitchen window recently got replaced. The old one was a very heavy window, made with pebbled glass that had chicken wire in it. I felt secure and I had my privacy, as the window looks directly onto the fire escape.
The new window is lovely but I was missing my privacy, especially as I went to feed my cats at 6:30 AM in my skivvies and saw my neighbor - on their way to take out their garbage - peeking in. So, in lieu of classic adhesive Mactac, I found some great non-adhesive vinyl options at the Home Depot. My friend Jay helped me decide on this one with the pattern, and I'm very happy with my purchase. Not to mention that it was super easy to install!
